| Agree that you should be comfortable to insert it blindly but the complication rate with US is almost zero. Its becoming standard of care in the US. If its not an emergency situation you should at least verify the anatomy and patency of the vessels. |

i said go lateral to the carotidian pulse, how´s that confusing it with the carotida?
you don´t always have ultrasound dude |

| but you can't feel the pulsation, that's what ment!!! it confuses with carotid puls. |

| Nobody ever uses ultrasound to guide the needle at our hospital. This is a nice video, but from a practical standpoint its important to be comfortable placing a central line without the assistance of ultrasound. |
