Two metronomes are placed on a common base. The metronome on the left is set at 192 beats per minute. The one on the right is set at a slightly lower rate. The metronome pendulums are initially out-of-phase. The two pendulums oscilate in phase due to conservation of momentum and coupling via the base. A true physics masterpiece!

right but it could be that the higher one stayed the same and the weaker momentum raises itself up to be able hold its own on the platform or vice versa

"Physics masterpiece"? It's just abusing the inefficiencies of a mechanical means of keeping time. Highlighting this only exposes a weakness, not a strength: like a band who loses their beat because an audience is clapping slightly behind. Two electronic metronomes would not be sensitive to this motion, and THAT is more of a masterpiece of physics. That is, the ability to keep consistent time despite the myriad of environmental influences breaching intervallic perfection.
