Yes, Kawashima is not far from Kayama. When you reach Kayama just keep going on towards Ikawa and you will find Kawashima about 5 kilometers on. -Kurt :-) |

| Hello Davevegas03 here. I have watch several of ur videos and love your eye for deatails. This is a great view of the town. I went to japan last year in Nov. I went to Kyoto Osaka Mt Koyasan and Shirawayago and other small tourist towns. U seem to know alot about the people and traditions, that makes these videos even more interesting. |

| Hi Heather, The climate in Japan varies greatly from one region to the next. For the sake of comparison Japan is a little like the east coast of the USA, with cool to cold temperatures in the north and sub-tropical island life in the south. The middle part (where we live) is more mild though the lowlands in summer are indeed hot and humid. Mountain villages such a Kawashima are simply delightful during summer, especially at night! I hope that your move is going well. Please say hi to your mom! |

| Anyone interested in buying land or living in the Japanese countryside should check out the excellent discussion thread called "Countryside Living" over on GaijinPot. I can't post links on YouTube so I'll need tell you how to find it (email me if you have trouble and I will send you the link). Locate the GaijinPot website via search and then go to the "Forums" tab. Under "Japan Guide" look for "Countryside Living" and then search for the post by KenElwood.
