Nobody batted an eyelash with George Bush Jr. due to his affiliations with American Taliban (Christian Fundamentalists) bigots such as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, both of whom said the US deserved 911. Supposedly "God" struck us because we "harbor gays and lesbians."

There are many ways to show patriotism. What you perceive as patriotism, that is, giving up your life to kill brown people in distant lands for the purposes of imperialist expansion, is but one way.
Another is to make sure the Constitution and civil liberties are upheld as opposed to belligerent nationalism. |
