| This was a true moment of inspiration from Geldof and Ure. This song/video was made with the aim of making people who were dying from hunger live. It was not known at the time that these singers would benefit their career and make themselves more money. This song/video is the only altruistic attempt at pop music providing charity. It is a great video because it was free of music company influence and was done for helping others. |

| wow!! i didn't know this would be on here. i have the 33 record that has this song on it three times this 1, 1 without the words and 1 where thay all talk 1 at a time. also that record will make any crappy player sound good |

| As I remember, this was a low-production type recording. Bono was pretty much unknown, Sting hadn't recorded anything as a solo artist.....At the time Boy George might have been the biggest star on this record. I just remember it starting to play on my local radio station aroung Thanksgiving. God bless those who were behind it. By the way, it did come before Live Aid. |
