Looks like the bar was coming down on his neck too, instead of below the nipple line. Not touching? No shirt? Mmkay.

yet again you have missed the point iwth this video. It will be removed by the end of the weekend. if you really want to see the whole picture you need to have the training material and the WHOLE DVD.

In view of all the recent comments I think this video needs to come down. This has been taken well out of context and anyone that uses You Tube as a medium to access education and training should be ashamed. The video is one part of a massive library and this small segment on the student system is accompanied with reading material within the context designed. Even so - The biomechanics are correct for the purpose Lifting straps are used for a reason, not the one you are suggesting.

Great Physic, Great form on your own lifts... since you present your case professionally, look the part you sound a lot like you know what your talking about! It's great that you speak of the differnce between Power lifting and Body Building, yes they are different. However, some of your biomechanics and physics are wrong. And some of your training information is wrong. I hope that anyone watching this wanting to learn power lift, does a little more research on proper training techniques.

Lol lifting straps? You should only use those if you're going for a 1-2 rep range... You train your grip muchhh less with the straps leading to problems in other lifts...

belt and straps lol.. lets weaken our core by using a belt and weaken our grip by using straps.. nub cakes..

4 weight lifting belts are counter productive and actaually unsafe. They are unsafe because ur no longer have an acurate gage of ur bodys limits and you cant feel everything that indicates to you that everything is proper, if ur mislead about what feels proper this only sets you up for staying weaker and possibly being injured. Ur abs oliques and back all work together and give you feeback to know what is happening. Belts lead u 2 believve u can count on the belt causing u 2 relax, theninjryoccurs

3 you never build much power not going heavy and you cant go heavy not touching the ground so this is disimformation, not touching the ground is ideal for straight leg deadlifts not for powerlifting. To achieve max strenght your whole body needs balanced training and another factor in dealdifts is extra work on abs and obliques as they play a huge roll in the lift from beggingig to completion.
