| First of all, you don't even need a 7 string guitar to play death metal. You don't even need to detune. Secondly, what do you think the suffix of "core" indicates? It's for describing a "metal" band. Seriously, you can call them what you want, it won't change what they are. But that's what I call them. Core is a metallic description. Even if lots of gay emo bands are assigned it. |

| technical metal?...to low for that...take an 8 string ibanez..tune the 7 strings to F# and add a B string from a bass for your 8th and thats the recipe for death metal my friend |
