| Reincarnation is the passing of genetic material into a further generation, constituting a further step in the evolution of the species and the species, as it grows, becomes closer through generations of produced children gradually evolving, their traits come from their ancestry, to attaining enlightenment. It's not a magical reproduction of life after death; the concept of reincarnation and past lives is the information passed from ancestors into our genome. I'm a psychologist, by the way. |

| I think that Jesus was the same thing as the Buddha, only the Buddha's followers kept what was necessary instead of the primitive dogmatic law surrounding the words of Jesus. All that's needed for true Christianity is the teachings of Jesus, not the controlling implications laid in by those who pervert his philosophy into a means to divide and ridicule others. The parallels between the life of Jesus and the life of the Buddha are very similar, as are their messages. |

Karma is the totality of human action, cause and effect, and the deciding fate of conscious beings, their choices leading to karmic repercussions, is apparent. Every action has thousand of karmic implications, and ripple beyond the action of the conscious self causing it. The creation of youtube was a karmic cause that led to your comment. Cause.Effect |

| Erm, not quite.
Buddhism believes the 'Self' is a false, impermanent construct, one that is subject to change, and death is simply viewed as a particularly sharp, intense change. The only permanence is pure conscious, which is not bridled by a particular 'self'.
Knowing that consciousness in some form or another is inevitable, there will be consciousness after death.
The notion of 'karma' deciding the fate of conscious beings, however, is delusional, I agree. |
