This just in: The government has censored the declaration of independence! The hypocrisy of July 4th is astounding. The Text: Censoring the Declaration of Independence Every July 4th Americans celebrate a revolutionary document - The Declaration of Independence signed July 4th, 1776. The Declaration talks about the necessity "to dissolve the political bonds." About "unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Most radically of all it says "That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT, and to institute new government..." But some people don't want us to get that message... If you go to the Jefferson Memorial you will see that the engraving of the first lines of the Deceleration of Independence leaves out "the consent of the governed." and our "right to alter or abolish" government... Then there is this movie reading of the Declaration which closes the door to Independence hall just as we get to that important phrase... Don't let the government and the media censor the Declaration of Independence It's time to celebrate the Fourth of July for what it really is... "Right to Alter or Abolish the Government DAY!" A true people's holiday! To clarify: This video is pointing out that the government has forgotten the true values that our country was built on I cite specific examples where the government has gone AGAINST the people (such as the draft, or iraq war). If we vote for them and they go against the people then how is this a democracy? I am not saying that I am in support for a direct democracy or that I am a libertarian, I am simply saying that the government should remember that the government is "for the people by the people"

So what should we do about it?? I've been arguing this point for years. OUR GOVERNMENT SUCKS, and voting NEW people into it obviously doesn't help, or the mess wouldn't still be here. What we need is to totally change our government system...the whole thing. And create a new one. But where do we start, how do we begin, and more importantly who is WE!

The Declaration of Independence was first published in full outside North America by the Belfast Newsletter on the 23rd of August, 1776.A copy of the document was being transported to London via ship when bad weather forced the vessel to port at Derry. The document was then carried on horseback to Belfast for the continuation of its voyage to England, whereupon a copy was made for the Belfast newspaper

Raw land produces grass, which aint food. I bust my ass trying to get some vegetables to grow in my garden :-) Wheat was produced by man selectively breeding grass not nature. You don't have to tune your radio in to his frequency and you can't prevent the waves from entering your house anyway. (faraday cage excluded) But if you try to transmit on his established frequency you are interfering with his broadcast just as if you had gone into his garden and taken his vegetables.

The airwave is not the media which they produced. And raw land does produce food. It's not his territory as the spectrum is in your living room and everywhere. Like I said, your argument is the inventor of the sail owns the wind.

The point of the video is that the US government has censored parts of the declaraion of independence. But it's only censored if you cannot communicate it in any form. And you can obviously communicate it without being arrested and thrown in prison. I grant that there is massive government interference in various forms of communication but it's not like China where you have blacked out regions broadcast on tv and books you cannot buy. And executions for speaking against the government.

Yes the spectrum existed but nature doesn't produce television shows and musical broadcasts. And we haven't had any great messages coming from deep space have we. Just as raw land doesn't produce wheat it takes human activity to make land and the airwaves productive. A man working on a plot of land owns the produce. A man transmitting on a frequency with a given range ought to own that frequency and territory.
