| Are you sure that Beefheart didn't do drugs in his life ? I don't think so ! I don't think that he needed it to be creative, but The Magic Band sounds like a musical army hight on LSD |

| Beefheart and Zapper didn't need drugs to get to the special creative place. This is why I feel they were anti-drug, because that creative space is not always a happy one. madness is not something you should seek to be an artist. Madness just tends to mean all you can do is be an artist. |
