| Truly, Wilson sisters complained to create publicity for themselves. They and the co-writer Roger Fisher do have licensing agreement with ASCAP, the firm that collects royalties for them. The song was licensed to GOP for public performance under a blanket fee already paid by GOP to ASCAP. McCain campaign correctly stated "The McCain campaign respects intellectual property rights ... prior to using Barracuda at any events, we paid for and obtained all necessary licenses." |
