his biceps are bigger than his head. That just looks fucking stupid...

Actually, he is correct. Your training pays off OUTSIDE of the weight room, when they are resting, and healing. Muscles, actually grow after creating little rips from use, and then filling in those little rips with protein. once, or twice a week is enough.

I see.... cos I've been doing weights for just over a year & I did'nt reallise that your supposed to change your routine every few weeks or so & Ive been doing literely the same routine for a year! now I understand a little clearer, so now I should start hitting my biceps with different stuff like hammer curls or 21's because my biceps arent used to these techniques? or go for fewer reps but heavier weights.

This is perfect example for pumping your muscles, and only pumping them. Want to gain strength? Forget 90% to 100% of the apparatuss. For biceps, dumbell exercices do best!
zkb24 (June 28, 2008 at 7:14 pm)
thats means your doing lighter weights....bumb up the weight a bit until you can only do about 8-10 reps...and the reason for the not getting sore is because you do it alot and your muscles dont get any rest...so you dont gain any muscle from over training...
darkscent83 (June 28, 2008 at 9:22 am)
I never get sore now though, If I can do ten sets does that mean the weight is'nt heavy enough? cos I normally set up my EZ bar or dumbells so that its heavy enough so that I can just about manage 12 reps, so the last 2 reps are tough but not impossible, is that right?
bitcheznhos (June 28, 2008 at 8:08 am)
u a lightweight.
zkb24 (June 28, 2008 at 1:47 am)
woa woa woa do not do ten sets....you might tear a muscle...but prolly not....if u do like 10 sets u will be sore for a good week or so....and you do not want that...
zkb24 (June 28, 2008 at 1:46 am)
yep once a week....you grow muscles as you rest....not in the weightroom
ccfcprem2010 (June 26, 2008 at 8:53 pm)
not daily as u need to allow the muslce tune to recover and grow so yea evry other day is better
