| This video just shows a hanging peanlty in Britsh ruled Hongkong, probably in early 1950s or 1960s. It was sentenced according to British law by then.
Even in mainland China, most death penalties were carried out with injection rather than firing squad. |

At that time, Hongkong was ruled by British governers. The policemen in this video were named as "Royal HongKong Police". The term "Royal" means British crown. This hanging penalty was sentected and excuted according to British law by then. |

| Presumably this soap opera was made (or set) in the time when Hong Kong was still a British colony, and (until capital punishment was abolished) hanging, not shooting, was the normal method of execution.
Despite the melodrama this clip does convey the vileness of capital punishment. |
