BASE jumping is the sport of using a parachute to jump from fixed objects. "BASE" is an acronym that stands for the four categories of objects from which one can jump; (B)uilding, (A)ntenna, (S)pan (a bridge, arch or dome), and (E)arth (a cliff or other natural formation). BASE jumping is much more dangerous than skydiving from aircraft and is currently regarded as a fringe extreme sport

| inless they were only jumping from 100 or 200 ft and over water then if there parachutes got tangled it would slow them down a bit and they would hit the water with maybe a broken finger or less |

| umm base jumpers dont have any reserve parachutes becasuse they jump for such a low alttitude that if the main one fails to open they wouldnt have enough time to cut it away an then pull the reserve..by then they would of already hit the earth under them. |
