| I have friends who feel as you do. I'm 75 and tempted to cling to the past. I've been doing jazz radio in Moab, UT for the last ten years. The percentage of jazz that sucks today is the same as it was 30 years ago. However, the latter part of the nineties and so far into the 21st there are jewels that rival those of the past. It's like physics: we learn from our predecessors. The best example I can give you is Manu Katche for accessability and Marcin Wasilewski for sublime genius - like Evans. |

| keith ha llegao más lejos en el control del instumento.sin embargo evans es más personal:su uso de tresillos en el fraseo,su pulso atresillado,cómo se acompaña,sus voicings...es más personal e innovador respecto al pasado que jarrett en "lo que toca".jarrett es el cómo toca,la mejor calidad de ejecución de la historia del piano-jazz ,y hancock el qué toca(simplificando mucho).evans realiza una síntesis profunda y honesta entre el qué y el cómo inigualable en la historia del jazz.un puto gigante. |

| His talent is hot. His audiences were practically mesmerized over his impressionistic (largely quartel harmony) takes on the tunes he played. This gave him artistic power over his audiences, and we all know that women find men with power "hot." Most women will disagree with my comments, & I won't argue the point. I'm not really into this kind of psychological bullshit.Any man who thinks he understands the mind of a woman is doomed. |
