| Who was in charge? Was the house cleared? The girlfriend in the squad could answer that. They should have also asked her does he own a gun. You had a stand-off; you wait the suspect out.My god if you send the dog let him do his job!If he did fire a gun, his first shot better be at the dog and on target; and thats doubtful. | He could of just said he wasnt armed and it was a flip-flop but he didnt so to my opinion he was kinda stupid all he had to do was that and he would of never gotten shot. |

| This guy told the officers he had a gun. He did have something in his hand when he stated this. When the dog was released this guy moved and came up with his hand that the flip flop was in, which the officers believed to be a gun. So shots were fired. What I dont understand is why the officers let him lay there so long. Someone should have immediately made sure he wasnt still armed. Once that is determined first aid is supposed to be rendered immediately, Which was not. And yes, I am an officer. |

| Looked like the guy was trying to throw his gun away and maybe surrender but wasn't smart enough to let the police know. If you make a quick move like that with a gun you can expect to get shot. I don't blame the police. THe guy should have used more sense if he didn't want to get shot. The police are obviously shook up from shooting him |
