| I can tell you exactly where you were at each part of the clip.. to start your on the 20 east direction downtown , after your on 15 south decarie, after your at place des arts metro, after the biodome as you tell it lol, the neigberhood your filming from the olympic tower is hochelaga maisonneuve at the end your on notre dame street ! Man i love my town ! hehe |

| You're right, unexpected90: many bus drivers & the less educated people are more reluctant to speak English, since they still see it as the language of the oppressor (Québec & Eastern Canada up to Louisiana was colonized by France & then invaded by Great Britain).
Mind you, wouldn't you make the effort to learn Spanish if travelling to Latin America (where very few people outside of the business / university communities speak English), or you'd complain that people don't speak YOUR language? |

it's kinda like you are as proud of your language as the people in france are,
that's not bad and if you aren't in a hurry it's sweet but if i have to get a bus and the busdriver won't answer me in english it's weird because they should know that there are many tourists and it's a matter of fact that english is spoken by more people than french |

| yeah well, you have to be a Quebecer to understand the situation,In fact we like better when someone start a conversation in french, then if we see you have to much difficulty we will switch to english without problems;)..(well, that,s how I work:P) |

| it's because we all have imposed english classes, so not everyone will talk english perfectly but we almost all handle ourselves on holding a conversation,has I,m doing right now ha ha |

| you can visit many nice festivals in montreal and the nightlife is great,
i enjoyed toronto (btw the CN-tower is a must and the niagara falls aren't far away -> just stunning but very hmm "commercial") because everybody speakes english (my french is very bad), i've to admit that most of the people in montreal speak english aswell but i had the feeling that they would like me to speak french
all in all canada is a really great country and the people are relaxed and VERY NICE |

| To response at pezzolla12, no it's not everybody who speek english in Montreal. But you can have a trip there and almost everybody will understand you. This city is both french and english from it's old history and it's citizens had to learn to live together. That bring an unique life experience that you can't find in Toronto or Vancouver. But i have to say that every other city in Canada are unique too, from Halifax to Victoria. The best thing to do is to take the wheel and drive it all! :) |
