| I have more respect for the Mantis than the spider in general. The Mantis is a very smart and cunning hunter "control the center to eat the head" its stance and movment has been studied by many in the martial arts world. In the wild this spider would never see the mantis before it was too late. In the wild the mantis rarelly loses a fight. |

| People like to watch bug fights it seems... and when they hear "spider" they want to see it either PWN or get Pwnz0r3d. I like seeing fair encounters, but hate seeing "shaken" boxes that toss the competitors into each other. Imagine if that's what they did in boxing to get them from hugging heh. It gives one of them an unfair advantage when they hit. But also cruelty is wrong, but feeding a carnivorous insect requires one to perish and so you see the dilema. |

| I did! It looked like it started leaking like yellow goo.. and on the close ups you can see the mantis eatting the spider and there being a yellowish liquid inside. Looks like the initial grab was so strong it not only stuck him well enough that he barely was able to move, but obviously the blood indicates he hit him pretty hard. |

| 3. i have posted several other vid clips of mantis capturing various insects such as cricket, moth, and even other mantis.
i guess u have not watched them all.
on this particular night, i happen to feed her a spider.
i find it very interesting to notice that only those vids of her feeding on spiders attract so many viewers in the world and make some of u very upset.

i observed her mate, lay eggs, die, and her babies hatch. |

| 2. this mantis was my pet for some time and she had to eat live preys every day.
she was the protagonist in this footage, which showed her fantastic hunting behaviour.
of course, this "fight" was not fair at all.
and i love spiders, too, as u can see in my vid collection. |
