| I remember that weekend well. We started off Friday night at a Nuneaton soul nite, hitched to VaVas, Bolton for the allnighter. Then on to Mecca on the Saturday before Wigan. It turned at the Casino for me when all those crap instrumentals were being played. Still great memories. |

| A piece of social history + nostalgia. I was member no 555, there on the first night in Sept 73. The footage is about 10 years later, not long before the club's sad demise. Speaking of sad demises, the old guy's marvellous rich Lancashire accent won't be heard much more. What about club manager Mike Walker's bizarre black tie attire!.... and I'm sure there was never a Socialist Worker seller in a collar n' tie. . |

| The casino was a shit house people stealing your bag or anything in it even if you d just bought a record they d take it went more times than anyone ( BIG CLAIM ) Well i lived there... monday ended at 10.30 Or the monacho hindley.wednesday SAME Friday too . Then All nighters fri old stuff and sats.Now too many on the band wagon. BUT good on yer K T F.The vease. |
