| i dont agree with this.......... try 10mins on treadmil then abs and squats everytime you enter the gym..... after that do either back and chest or shoulders and arms..... then 40min swim after every workout.... you WILL gain lean muscle and burn fat..... do this 4 times a week |

| actually per pound you lose. 60% is muscle, 40% is fat. why what he says works is because after you lift weights, your body is in an anabolic?( correct me if i'm wrong. it's either anabolic or catybolic) state so the body will retain more protein than fat so you will burn more fat rather than muscle. so it won't deplete or destroy muscles. it will skip over the protein and delve right into the fat |

| Thank you, I was debating that today. Short google search turned up this. |

| What's even better is to do cardio before & after the workout.
Doing it before will help keep your heart rate up and "loosen your body" during your workout phase.
So, in theory, you'll lose more calories during your workout due to higher BPM. |

| you are forgetting that in your scenario this person you are talking about has fat on his/her body. your body will burn fat before it burns your muscle. unless you have a 2% body fat index you have nothing to worry about. steve is right. |

| I wasnt very clear I guess. What i meant is that you shouldnt do cardio at all right after OR before. If you do it before, same happens ofc. It all depends on te intensity and how long youre doing it. If you plan on doing 20 min cardio and 20 min weights, sure you can both. Becase your storage will probably last long enough. But if you plan on 5-10 min workout, 30 min weights and then 1-2 hours of cardio. I dont understand how all that enegy can come from FAT. |
