| What will happen is the U S will heavily utilize it's massive coal deposits.
Say hello to massive amounts of mercury in the food chain. Say hello to massive amounts of acid rain. Say hello to the final test of whether global warming is man made or not. Say hello the massive damage to the landscape as this coal is removed.
Isn't it time to maybe invest $700,000,000,000.00 into research and developement of alternative energy sources and energy efficiency?

| The USA simply, unambiguously did NOT exist until 1787. Slavery in "the United States" therefore endured from 1787-1865, i.e., 78 years. In your opinion, how many years has it been since 1865? 60, 70? Of course, we could stretch a point and say that the USA existed before it existed, i.e., as of July 4, 1776. Now we can say slavery existed for 78 years in the USA and 89 years in the "USA extended."
You certainly can't blame the USA for slavery existing in N. America BEFORE the USA did. |
