| Yeah, your best chance seems to be with grabbing some sample files and learning yourself, just looking at the thing. That's how I've been doing it~ |

| kartooned1,forget watching videos.. download a tracker and some demo tunes.get ya hands dirty.load up the demo tune, clear the sequence and try to mess with the instruments.. you notice the numbers beside the actual notes, that's commands like volume , arpegio etc.with chip music, it's basic wave forms such as sawtooth / triangle / sine that you use to make the tunes. of course you can use long samples, but the tunes are a lot bigger etc. there are plenty of guides on using trackers about also. |

| so is the key to the tracker the fact that you have to upload your own samples in there ??
is it the tweaking o that sound that makes the twirling that's going on ( like in this song) every video that Ive looked at doesn't help |

| pc and amiga trackers are pretty easy to use / compose on. theres 2 main parts, the sequence window itself and the instruments/samples.. download one and mess around with one of the demo tunes, it's pretty straight forward. although the c64 trackers are tuffer to use as you can't use samples (except a digi channel) and it's only 3 channels of sound. |
