acctualy i was also suprised of the numbers but this is the archives of the luftwaffe and they say the luftwaffe lost almost 100000 planes. 23000 in western europe and the medeterainien, 62-63000 on the eastern front and another 7000 elsewhere. those numbers are the ones from the german archives. but i also think they are to big and they may be wrong cause the archives could have been rewriten by the allies. some historians sugests the luftwaffe lost more planes and some suggests they lost less.

63,000? Did the Luftwaffe even have that many planes operating in Russia? About 34,000 Bf 109s where produced over the entire course of the war making up about 50% of all aircraft production. And It's safe to say that no plane was produced more then the Bf 109, so if you think about it 63,000 sounds like the whole damn air force. Are you saying that EVERY German plane over the Eastern Front was shot down? I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying the numbers sound a bit skewed.

That was nice footage. I'm surprised that the Panther didn't try to fight, it's 7,6 cm gun was superb. Though I don't know much about the Pershing. I enjoyed this, I've never seen anything quite like it.

The Pershing was a very good tank. Although it didnt saw real action in ww2, except single engagements like this one, it had quite some shortly after in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. There it faced older soviet tanks like the T-34 and SU type assault tanks. Pershings destroyed several of those without suffering a single total loss themselves.

blah blah 80% of all german kia mia was from soviet war machine allies only mopped up in europe fact ,t34 tank was king fact, usa flogged the japs fact usa rid england of its empire fact usa controlled world debt after war fact the real heros of the blood bath commonwealth soviet troops fact

ehhh no july 1941 to january 1944 the biggest amount of forces the germans had on the western front was 21 divisions while keeping 220-250 on the eastern front. after the d-day the germans had 60-95 divisons on the western front while having about 200 on the eastern front. 63000 aircraft of the luftwaffe was lost on the eastern front while they lost 23000 fighting the western allies. and of the 2.5 millions of german soldiers killed on acton 2 millions of them died on the eastern front.

The only problem with the KT was it could not be produced in large enough numbers to compete with the US and soviets. one on one the KT could defeat any allied tank. But when you have 10 shermans for every tiger it changes up the situation a little (though some panzer aces were known to have come out victorious with those odds) The Germans lost not because of inadequate soldiers or equipment but because of inadequate supplies.

40%? I recall something more along the lines of 30%, but Western Front panzer strength was very high at about 40% of Wehrmacht total. No matter what anyone else told you, King Tiger was a shitty tank. The Panther, T-34, IS-2 and Shermans were war-winners. KT wasn't.

germans had cool tanks.king tiger was awesome
