| Yes they should. That's a myth that they shouldn't. |

| first of all if you have enough plates do deadlifts.
i have seen people get a leg workout by cleaning the weight overhead and behind the head, do your squats then press it over head and return it to the floor.
this will severly limit the weight you can use but you can do reps and be more ready to squat when you get squat racks |

| While you are right that the toes should be slightly pointed outwards so it is aligned with your knees, your knees SHOULD NOT pass your toes. |

| His form sucks. First of all he doesn't squat below parallel. The toes SHOULD be pointing slightly outwards and the knees SHOULD go slightly over the knees. |

| Hey can anybody here tell me how can i do a squat without a squat rack? well i have a barbell at home and plates, and a basic home gym for bench press and back. However i don't have a squat-rack, from where i can do squats. How can i perform squats if i only have a basic barbell and plates |

| Do you know the rule about how to hold your head when squatting? Here's a quiz. When you squat, you should: (a) look toward the ceiling; (b) look straight ahead; or (c) look toward the floor. The correct answer is (b). If you answered (c), step away from the squat rack and check out what Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) scientists discovered about head position when squatting. |
