| I bought one of these recently and I have to say, it's one of the best gutiars out there imo. I sold all my Gibsons (two SGs and a Flying V), my Peavey Wolfgang, two Charvels and an LTD ESP EX-400 BD and all I play now are Washburn Idols. They really are the most underated, value for money guitar out there. I own a custom shop idol, a Nick Catanese Idol and two WI64s. I won't play anything else. |

| just to add some information... the easiest place where to get that sound 5-7 fret of the D string! once you get it you can go and try other places to! wish you luck! |

| Hi David. (I'm about to buy a version of this guitar with Seymour Duncan pickups.) Anyway, I think you are talking about 'pinch harmonics' which are achieved by rubbing the pick AND your thumb across the string. I am learning this technique myself. You need to get the technique right and also pick the string in the right position. Search for pinch harmonics and it will become very clear. I'm no expert but it seems like stronger or active pickups help? Hope this useful. :-) |
