Zhou Xuan (周璇), her favourite film was always Street Angel in 1937 (馬路天使). This contained two theme songs: "Four Seasons Song" (四季歌) and "The Wandering Songstress" (天涯歌女) which enjoyed long-lasting popularity. Here is the sad version from the film. | Based on the fact that KMT even lost a great battle in 1944, when Japan was beaten everywhere else....I don't think that KMT is competent to run the Chinese government.
Obviously you need to dig more history. |

| Very good film, I hold Zhou Xuan(female lead) and Zhao Dan(male lead) in very high regard. Zhao Dan suffered terribly during the CR. |
