| Guan Yin is Avalokitesvara. The word Guan in chinese refers to perceiving via the senses so it does not matter whether it is eye or ear from its original meaning. And for bodhisattvas, they are able to use their five senses interchangeable and freely thus the name applies. |

| Master chanter Lama Tashi sounds like a bullfrog. If you can hear a version of this chanted by a a woman from India skilled in Sanskit, there is no comparison. Just because its Tibetan doesn't make it good, perfect, the last word in Dharma. Remember, the Dharma came from India, which had a much more advanced and aesthetically perfected culture and in many ways lost a lot in the Tibetan 'translation'. |
