This clip is about the a demon Iraniyan whom does not believe in god and condems the Lord Vishnu,his son prahalada was oppsoite to father by nature and believe in Lord Vishnu and entrust he is the perserverer in this world so as once Hiraniyan question his son where is Hari(Lord Vishnu) his son replies he will be everywhere hence Iraniyan showed a pillar and says if he is here and is son strongly says yes. Iraniyan tries to attack Lord Vishnu who was in Lion headed(Narasimar) appeared from the pillar and destroy him.

in the vishnu purana and bhagavata purana this is how the story is explained. No devas, not brahma nor siva, nor mahalakshmi could pacify ugra narasimha. brahma then asks prahlada to pacify him. |

| the story is mostly correct, just some minor inconsistencies
first the devas ask brahma to go to narasimha and calm him down, but he is scared; same with siva. they then ask lakshmi and she is also too scared. finally prahlada goes and calms narasimha as he transforms from a ugramoorthi to a shantamoorthy and becomes lakshmi narasimha.
sriman narayana then tells prahlada to wait in patala where he will pray to him every day and narayana promises to guard his house mace in hand. |
