Santa Cruz Sentinel, September 8th Another local man up for reality TV show
Add James Hibler to the list of area residents to possibly have his 15 minutes of fame on a reality television show.
Hibler, a Santa Cruz resident who homeschools his children, has advanced to the second round of the TONTINE casting call.
TONTINE is a reality show hosted by Boston Rob Mariano, who made his debut on "Survivor" and "Amazing Race."
The show will test the 15 contestants across seven continents in 100 days for a prize of $10 million.
Hibler has made it to the second round, which involves uploading an audition video to YouTube.com and allowing the public to judge.
The top video wins $10,000 and some or all of the contestants will be selected to compete in TONTINE.
