| u are far more likely to get it when your older like in ur sixties but u can get it whenever ur immune system is weakened say from having another infection, to much alcohol, sleep deprivation, stress... anything that can weaken the immune system. The younger u get it usually the more mild the symptoms. however u can get it more than once. I got it when i was 18 and the symptoms were very mild. |

| Hepres zoster is not the same as the herpes that affects the gentals (HSV-2). Herpes Zoster is not transmitted through sex. |

| really ignorant comment..............when u first contract herpes zoster u get chicken pox. ur body fights it off but the virus is never fully eradicated and lies dormant in your spinal cord nerves because its being suppressed by immune sytem. When immune system is weak it may flare up. Now tell me when u first contracted chicken pox when u were a little kid was it because u had sex? |
