I can see the kinds of comments I am going to get so let me address them. "What's the point?" This video is a counterpoint to the original. Which acquainted sexism with comments that might offend females. There are two sides to the coin and I think that man bashing is by far more prevalent in this society thus I offer this video as a counterpoint. It replicates the structure of the original and both can exist to offer both sides of the equation. How egalitarian! "You have no sense of humour" On the contrary, I can see the humour in many of these things. I normally prefer to make videos on more serious subjects that really affect men such as anti-male laws. I wouldn't rant at a woman wearing a T-shirt like that in the office. But you have to decide. If any slight against women is a sexist act then what about all this stuff against men? "You're sexist" In the video to which this is a reply. A series of sexist comments were shown and with feminist quotes interjected between them. In this video I do the same but I show man bashing ads and products and put in some less than flattering feminist quotes. The point? Balance, the other side, some truth, all that jazz. "You're a fascist" I don't advocate the banning of these products or adverts. In fact, I got fed up of TV and stopped watching it. I am no longer deluged by man bashing rubbish. "You're as bad as those you criticise" Well, there are some things that need to be said about the original video to which this is a reply. It focuses on TV commentary, I focus much more on things being sold. The original paints a completely one sided picture of things as far as the video and quotes go. I'm calling them on their B.S. I probably wouldn't make a video like this as an original concept. "You fat f*****g c**t, I'll track you down and kill you! You d**k sucking f*g." Hmm, this is not how an adult responds to views that opposes his/her own. You seem to have taken in a radical feminist view of the world as an emotionally-held subconscious tick which your cognitive dissonance reacts to in violent ways. May I recommend therapy? Just look at the comments on the video by women. Attacking all men, not just one politician. Also how did you come to the conclusion that " most of those ads that bashed men were targeted towards women"? I'm just curious.

Most of those ads that bashed men were targeted towards women, whereas in the original, they were news clips targeted toward a presumably mixed-gendered audience. And if you think the "Boys are Stupid. Throw Rocks at Them" signs, which are done by a man, by the way, are comparable to someone saying that Hillary Clinton isn't fit to be President because of PMS, then you have a drastically poor sense of proportion.

All humans are scum, they have suppressed the world with their presence, and the human collective cannot even find peace with itself.

@mitchswifey: You can believe in whatever you want, but you really shouldn't speak as though women weren't necessary, or that women need men in more than men need women. Without one, the other could not exist. If you really are a woman, then saying such things that belittle your gender wouldn't be so great for one's self-esteem, I would imagine.

No, MRAs are complaining about the feminist assumption that men are violent and inferior, it's as simple as that. "...the upsides are great." What an utterly stupid thing to say. I think being percieved as a sexy hungry and violent abuser offsets any minimal advantages there are to being percieved as "powerful", which, as I said before, are two different stereotypes. Besides, very few people have leadership positions; most men work for the leaders, but aren't leaders themselves.
itachi705 (September 1, 2008 at 1:45 am)
Wow, that was a rather stupid comment. Being savagely violent is completely different than being a powerful leader. Not to mention that women are also being seen as good leaders; why do you think women's leadership courses exist? Your train of thought is typical feminist logic. The only thing that happens to men who are believed to be violent and abusive is they end up in jail, not at an office desk for CEOs.

What do you think of Devilmay's opinion 5 days ago that when women beat up men on tv it's funny because it's so ridiculous that a woman could hurt a man? It would make sense on "certain" shows with a "certain" mood with "certain" women and "certain" men if it didn't include men doing something bad before they were punched and humiliated. I would like to know what minority of people have such a high opinion of men and such a primitive opinion of women. A minority indeed.

I am a woman who believes in equal rights but I think a lot of women are hypocritical. U can't have it both ways. I would never treat my husband with disrespect nor teach my son he is inferior because he is male. I think it's time feminists get off their high horse and start treating the male gender the way we want to be treated.
ninjanerd8 (August 29, 2008 at 11:02 pm)
The fact is these aren't anomalies. I very much dislike it when someone tries to argue that man-bashing is not the norm when I'm living in the very society we're discussing. I challenge anyone who thinks it is to find even one single sitcom in the past 10 years where the husband has not been at least stupid (and often fat and utterly inept) and his wife at least smarter that him (and often beautiful and talented). You cannot.

You're an angry person. There is no truth in you.
