| She was recently cast as the leading role of Celie in the musical The Color Purple on broadway. She is still recording, doing collabs (most recently on Jennifer Hudson's album. She is making appearances (ie Taste of Chicago 08, gay pride, although cant remember what city), and had a platinum sophomore album last year. |

| She is good but does not have the staying power of an artist that has the "it" or "x" factor. Honestly, I did not hear anything that would make me agree that she is "it." BTW where is she now? |
